Invictus

Just watch a movie called invictus.. a story about the leadership of mandela and the use of rugby in order to create unity. A little bit of Mandela. He was a legendary president of South Africa. He was jailed for mm years in Robin Island due to i dun know. There he learned a lot. During that time, apartheid was the major problem. The black and the whites were at war. So this man, mandela, had genius idea on how to change this. How to solve the apartheid. He used rugby. He played rugby before when he was at secondary school. So he knows that this game can be used for unity purpose. I remember he quote "Rugby is as rough as politics". So the South African team is called the Springbox. Before the coming of mandela, people said South Africa had no chance in winning the world cup. But this mandela is a high spirited person. He invited the captain of South africa team to have a tea with him. He wanted to say something about leadership and inspiration. He gave his poem which motivates him in jail. I remember the last verse which says "i'm the master of my fate, i'm the ruler of my soul". So this kind if inspiration would eventually uplift the spirit of SA players. He also gave the inpirational song which i think it is called Pokolili.. or God Bless Africa. Later on, the fans of the springbox sing the song in the final against the Legendary All Blacks starring Jonah Lormu. He is a damn big guy and run very fast.

So after the inspirational, the Springbox trained hard and wins the grouping, the quarter finals, semi finals and to the final. They beated Australia. France and finally All Blacks. Nelson Mandela watch every match without a miss. Even during a meeting about certain issues, he would ask permission to stop for a while and watch the result of the rugby matches. He was so happy. His assistant ask him,"Is rugby considered as political strategies?." Well it is undeniable. Rugby is a team game which needs team work and team spirit. At first, the blacks hate the springbox. But after a while, the blacks and the whites cheer for the same team. Before that, the blacks would always cheer the team against the Springbox but things had change. We can the blacks and whites unite in the final. Cheer and sing the Pokolili song which is the anthem of SA. It was a touching moment. Then we can see the unity in SA. Nelson Mandela is a genius and his words were inspirational. I like the way he says the words he choose. Tremendous. Now i have two inspirational leaders. Dr. Mahathir b. Mohamad and Nelson Mandela. I hope maybe i can lead someday hahaha.. i hope insyaallah. Lead Malaysia to be a better country. But first i have to settle myself first. Adios.
